Tranny leaking, common? Avant-2.8-Tip
Cleaning up my garage, then I saw few drops of oil on the floor.
remove engine tray, there it is, seaping type of leak between tranny and engine, just before the transmission oil pan.
bummer, going to the dealer this week to see what they say. I hope is nothing major.
Anyone have this problem before?
I still have 5 month of warranty left, now I'm wondering if I should purchase extened. My car only has 30K miles.

Is it oil, or trand fuid?It could be leaking from above, adn running down the top..
or it could be the crank seal.. If it's tranny fluid, I would get it fixed ASAP, if it's just oil, it can wait a little.

Get the extended..
if you are planning on keeping it. I had a $2000 leak on my 98 2.8Q. They had to pull the heads. This was at 35000 miles. And yes it was out of warranty and Audi said tough s***. According to the tech it is a common problem. Hope yours is something less.
