Default tranny slipping?

My transmission seems to be slipping. I have stepped on the pedal a few times and seen the tach go up but the car not accelerate. What could this be....i have 43,000 miles (20,000 with APR Chip). I drive the car hard....but how long should my tranny last? Could it be shot?

Yes, I have had the same problem. I believe it is the tranny unable to deal with the torque at peak.

Default I think I have the same problem

I also have 43k on the car and have been chipped for over 20k. I think the the slipping when going slow and quickly acclerating is possibly caused by acclerating while the tranny is downshifting from 2nd to 1st. You may be acclerating while the tranny is in between gears. I have also experienced some slipping in 3rd since I got my chip. I have heard others talk about it slipping to, so I don't know that this is a sign of the tranny goign bad or not.
