Hello, I have been looking for answers to transmission problem with my 2000 A4 Quattro. I hurt my leg and did not drive for a couple of weeks .Anyway first time I took car out it went into limp mode(3rd + rev)All gears lit. Dealer came and got it and said the TCM was wet from a leak somewhere. Anyway would not cover under warranty (I am still certified).Stealership wanted $1603CAD for the TCM!!! So thats why I want to be sure it is the TCM before buying one.

Anyway dried the car out and cleared the codes with my Vagcom and everything is fine now, no limp mode and no codes. But the car is shifting really hard. I was reading post about changing the ATF fluid,Filter, could this be the problem??From sitting maybe? Or even though the tcm is not giving any codes could it be fried?? I tried a throttle adaptation with no luck, recoded the tranny to 00022 , sport mode but no change. It is funny because shortly after I did the throttle adaptation and recode the car was drivng really well and I thought it was ok but next day the car was terrible agian, so I recoded to original 00002 and did throttle adap. Again with no luck. I will show you the original codes that I cleared and have not returned. I would really appreciate your help if you dont mind.

Please help Dealer wants $1603CAD for new TCM and I am not sure that's what's wrong!!
