God this gets worse by the day.

Got off the phone with this guy and he says well its not working because your tubo is overcalculated and caused MAF to fail which is why your tranny blew. Its slipping because of MAF. Now he wants more $$$ to diagnose, not even sure.

I took my car to these dopes cause they said they were specialists...yea in raising prices.

I called a friend of mine who worked on my saab and he urged me to get an attorney.

Any takes?

Get your car out of there and to a shop that can fix it.

Document everything you have done and every conversation you have had with the crappy shop. Once the car is fixed, take them to small claims court to get your money back.

No attorney is going to touch this case.

There have been many warning signs about this shop, who knows just how they screwed up your car now.

You need some ***** to do this yourself, or get some friend who can do it with you.

Just show up at the shop and tell them you're taking the car out. Point out they have been wasting your time, they don't know **** when it comes to this car, and that you will be sending them the repair bill from a qualified shop.

Get the car out of there ASAP.

And you know what? These guys billed you for all the work, and I bet they haven't opened the transmission up. If it's still slipping, they did zero work on it. They just want to milk you for money.

I'm surprised that this guy didn't blame the left-handed smoke diverter and the Johnson rod torsion springs.

He says there's a
P0103 code. For maf
P1555 code for turbo
P1857 for trans , which he says is caused by turbo and maf code
Told him to clean MAF, said no go...

So the circus continues?

Did you get them to replace all those axles and motor mounts too? Or did you decline?

I'm surprised you're still asking them to do stuff like clean MAF, etc...

So does he say the transmission is working ok or not? From what you wrote, it sounded like the trans still malfunctioned, and now he was looking for an excuse to blame the engine. GTA Driver may be correct, the trans was never actually rebuilt by them.

One reason that I suggested the install of a used transmission is that, for better or worse, the last place it was apart was at ZF. The one I had installed in my Wife's Passat several years ago still works perfectly.

After long talk back and fourth he finally got the hint that I did my hw. .
He wanted to charge me 3hrs of diag for the codes, I says spray cleaner fluid he says theey tried doubt it
Asked him to put spare maf sensor if he had he didn't even check, I then says stop doing the work I'm going to see what recourse I have at this moment...

10min later the mech calls and says look the work is done it drives but the codes need to be addressed.

He says I can pick up which I did. Test drove it drove fine.. tranny was solid...
Idle was bit rought on D , the turbo guage is abit wacky \ I am certain
A. MAF needs to be cleaned
B. MAF needs to be replaced

It drives fine, the turbo seems a bit off. I don't want to floor it in fears damage may occur my orig mech
will diagnose the MAF tommrw.

My turbo was fine before driving up a steep hill was perfectly fine.

Turbo guage shows -20 pressure at times, its a KO4

But alas I have my car.....

I checked their website out online, they do appear as a transmission shop that knows European cars. I hope for your sake they did the transmission work, and the rest were just attempts to get extra cash.

Perhaps those MAF/turbo issues could be a sign of a busted vacuum line or wiring.

Exhaust shop welded flex pipes, somehow broke air pump connection. You never know.

The main thing is your transmission works fine so far.

If I were you, I would fix it at a good Indy shop and take the transmission guys to a small claims court for the repairs. If you do it yourself, it won't cost you much, and you may get some or all the money back for those repairs.
