Default transmisssion on a4 2.8 v6 1996

the gear has stalled,when i put the gear shift in d or 3,2,1 the car it doesn't move ,not even an inch just after 10 sec.the car is moving very slow,i mind very slow.is 136k mi9les on it .i just bought this car and i wanna know if is a problem with the trans. or just a maintainance problem ,i already did the tune up ,engine oil,filters ,coolant but not the trans fluid.if is any who knows about this problem please let me know if is any solution before i gonna change the trans fluid.thanks.

We are going to need more detail on the troubleshooting you have done: Any codes? Have you checked the fluid level? Can you provide more detail on the problem?

not yet,i don't have any code now ,but the i did check the fluid level and is enough.sorry for punctuation ,english is a fourth-language for me.

Default Ah, I see.

There is a very specific procedure to check the fluid level. Check the FAQ or search for it. You'll need VAG-COM to do it right...and you will need VAG COM to check for codes.
