Default troubleshooting n75 connector/wiring

VAG says open circuit on n75. n75 replaced. VAG still says open circuit. Is the next step a voltage meter on the connector? How would I go about that, specifically? Is there another test I could run?

If it is the wiring/connector, cut and splice, or replace the whole thing?

TIA

Default Pull back the boot on the N75 connector.

I'm betting that the wire to the actual connector spade is severed.
