yup, the entire system goes offline when the light is on

Default If those were your picts from earlier, it didn't look that bad to deploy.
You didn't seem to have any structural damage to your car. just hood, and minor body panels.

Default thats not what happened to me...
my airbag light has been on for around a year. About 3 weeks ago i had an accident hitting the curb and the side airbag went out.
