Turbo died. Should I get a K04?

Turbo died. Should I get a K04?
YBH Audi is asking for $1350 to replace the turbo with a stock K03. ($950 for parts + $400 for labor).
Now, I'm thinking of ordering a KKK K04 (SPP has them for $795 and ECS has them for $920 with an install kit) and having YBH install it for me. This would mean I would be putting in a K04 without any software (yet). What kind of gains will I get? Do you think the dealership will do this for me? What are my other options?
Oh and on top of the dead turbo, I have oil leaking from 3 areas which is costing me about $1000 to fix. >=(
