Hi
I have found a problem with my DV on Audi 1.8T 2001.When I remove it and close down the hole there is boost again and the car runs very well. But i know the DV must be installed so my question is can I install a aftermarket Dump Valve?

The system is looking for the air that gets recirculated back from the DV so dumping it into the engine compartment throws off the readings and can make your car run funny. Don't do it. Get a nice aftermarket DV or one from a TT or other Audi turbo vehicle.
