Turbo LAG!! Need Advise! PLEASE
Can anyone give me some tips as a way to reduce turbo lag! I have a 98 A4 Automatic, with a chip and the 170(180) new audi's feel like they have much less "Hesitation" when you accelerate? How can I make my audi not have sooooo much hesitation? thanks for your tip's guy's!

Do you have tiptronic?
There's not much you can do to cure the lag from a standing start. The auto/tip is a hog off the line. But if you're talking about acceleration out of a turn, downshift 1-2 gears before turn-in. The idea is to keep the RPMs above 2000.

I don't think the tranny chip will do much for the lag. It just decreases the time between shifts.
The engine chip certainly does help, but you still need to keep the revs up to avoid the "lag zone".
