Turbo problems
I have a 97 a4 1.8tq auto, Lately my car has been idleing rough and i been hearing this loud rush of air noise everytime the turbo spools. I took out the hose which connects the turbo to the intercooler pipe and it was busted, i just replaced it and i still have the same problems,, any suggestions??

Pressure test the intake...
Search the archives for a post by UrS4 about pressure testing. You can build your own tester with PVC caps and brass fittings or I believe he can sell them to you already made.
Otherwise, you'll probably have to go through all the boost connections checking them individually.

You can check Block 114 for discrepancies in Requested/Actual load...
...as well as N75 duty cycle both of which can tell you the magnitude of the boost leak (if it is a boost leak).
