Default Turbo upgrade

Hey everyone,
Did anyone ever upgrade to a K04/T28 hybrid on an A4 1.8TQ, and with what chip.

Default that should work fine...

I don't know if anyone has ever done it, but if no one responds here, defiantly try the performance forum. They helped me a lot when I was thinking about doing a custom set-up

Also, DBW, or non-DBW?

APR just came out with there V-tune software for DBW cars that will help you tune an APR chip to work better with a custom set-up. Also, some guys are running the stock chip and getting good numbers.

You'll also have to think about a new exhaust manifold (ATP makes one that will fit the T28 flange) and maybe even new injectors and a bigger MAF

The setup bolts right on, its a T28 turbine inside a K04 body. What are the numbers some of the guys getting? Would I need software to control the bigger injectors? or can I just throw them on.

Default from what I understand...

if you get a bigger MAF, like 20% bigger, then you get injectors that are 20% bigger, and you won't have change the ECU at all.

as far a numbers go, lets say over 200, but under 300. Its been debated a lot but I think 300WHP is about maxed out for the stock internals. With the turbo you're talking about I wouldn't expect more than 260 to the crank. Maybe more if you get a FMIC.

My best advice to you, is post this question on the performance forum. Its not the fasted forum(you'll stay on the first page for a week) but the info is golden.

Default no problem..

Front Mount Intercooler. The one I had my eye on was the Z-Flow from Supreme Performace Parts (SPP)

one of the best and least expensive for the B5 A4, and it will supposedly fit behind the stock bumper

Default SPP will also port and polish your stock exhaust manifold..

which should free up a couple extra ponies if you're going to bolt that upgraded Turbo on..

check it

Where would I get a bigger MAF and Injectors... Would using the Audi TT MAF and injectors work or is there other companies?

Default I unfortunately never found a company that sells bigger MAF's for the 1.8T

I never found bigger injectors either. Sorry I'm not much help at this point.
