sup guys i just replaced my autothority chip with a GIAC ... it's sooo much faster!!! i noticed the turbo is whining pretty loud and i can't tell if it's the turbo whining or a boost leak that's whistling. my friend had the chip in his car with a stock exhaust and the turbo didn't make any noise. i'm running a hi-flow cat/DP and exhaust, is that why the turbo is louder? did any of you guys running hi-flo cats experience this? thanks.

the autothority chip only ran 11 psi but after hard driving i used to notice that the turbo and exhaust manifold used to glow real bright. i ran the hell out of the car last night with the GIAC chip and the turbo/manifold wasn't glowing nearly as bright as it used to and i'm running more boost. i'm thinking maybe autothority didn't get their fuel maps right and the car was running a little lean.

IATs will also drop a bit if the EGTs go down so exhaust flow is pretty much a win/win.

Likely is A/F then. I misread your post and thought you had also added the HFC and DP.

Change it to Bailey's or Forge. Stay away from the tt ones, unless you want to replace them often.
