Default You had HP to burn?

Jeez, I wish I had extra HP. And spark plugs. And cat converters.

BOV=Rice or maybe dump truck.

Default To eliminate compressor surge............>>>>>

.......when changing gears. Excessive back pressure is created when the throttle is closed during gear changes or deceleration, causing turbo cavitation. This is detrimental to the life of your turbocharger, however fitting a BOV will substantially improve this problem.
By installing a BOV you will significantly reduce turbo spool up time. You will notice a substantial improvement in response from your turbo between gearshifts. Boost will come on earlier giving an increase in torque at lower RPM..
Now i'm no certified mechanic but that doesn't sound like drop of power :P ...
And this particular BOV is a Dual Port BOV.. and has been designed and engineered as a high flow drop in replacement for our cars.. also you have the option to take of the little trumpet and close it of so it acts as a DV...

Default slow down turbo

sometimes BOV's are necessary! Obviously it's not a necessity for a stock 1.8 but in other applications it does do some good work. Would you classify my car as rice now or am I a dump truck?

Default Still not tuned for a BOV, either get an AFC or put it in DV mode

if you really want the sound get an intake.
