Default TURN SIGNALS BROKEN?

I dont know if this is common in 2001 A4's but the same thing happened to my friends also. My turn signals in my dash(green arrows)when i signal they blink faster than normal and at an unusual pattern. Then they will usually go out within seconds. How can i fix this problem? (and its not the fuse, i checked.) Thanks

Default Hazard switch/relay

Dealer, ~$30.

Take the wood/other trim off from around the hazard switch. Pull the switch out, replace.

^^ what he said. Most times when they blink fast its because a bulb is out

But they would stay on. My bet is on the hazard switch/relay, as bilbravo suggests.

its definately not the bulbs because when the hazard lights are on, all the lights are flashing fine, but i will check the hazard switch and the relay. Thanks so much

Default To be sure, turn your hazard lights on... if they work fine, it's the switch.

The reason they will work is because there are 2 separate circuits in the switch.

That being said, usually the turn signals are the first to go, because you don't use the hazards as much.

This is what happened to my car, switch was replaced, everything fixed.
