Default Turno upgrade routes ? APR PES ... k04 only etc ???

What other paths are there for the getting more power after the 1 bar chip ...

I know APR AND PES have bigger turbos ?
which companies the k04 upgrade ? is it a lot cheaper ? thanx for any info

Default KO4 does bout 235-240HP, while Pes and APR have a larger turbo(Garret Ball Bearing) 265-280HP

You could add a larger FMIC(15-20HP)

KO4 from awe-tuning is only $1800 compared to APR or PES which is $3500-$4000

KO4 is more cost-effective, but larger turbo means more Ponies

That cause k04 is direct upgrade, but others u gotta change much more right ...

You get a new exhaust manifold with those other kits..other than that I think mostly the same stuff

Default Yes, the KO4 is a direct bolt on. The key is an exhaust manifold optimized for a given turbo...

and once you make the effort to design a exhaust manifold, its not worth using the KO4, as its an old technology turbo.

Also, the AWE kit employs a rising fuel regulator, while the bigger kits replace the injectors with higher flowing aftermarket units.

Think of a KO4, at least the base kit, as a starting point for a good KO4 system. You can add a port and polish for the exhaust manifold, a inlet pipe, a hi-flow cat, etc to dress that kit. But, once you start adding up all that stuff, the cost of a bigger kit isn't that far away.

Just a note...the T28 from the PES kit is not a BB turbo.
