Turnyour 2000 V6 4motion Passat into an S4?

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/Passat%20V6TT.jpg"></center><p>I already know what your going to probably thing "go and buy the real thing" right! But the fact that the S4 engine fits perfectly under hood of both the Audi A4 and VW Passat is just awesome. I could make my VW Passat into a TRUE sleeper nobody would even expect a 190hp Passat to be pushing like a Twin Turbo S4. Since I’ve already put down $15,000 cash and financing $16000 I'm definitely going to get an engine swap and all the chips and turbo upgrades. I’ll probably add another $20000 in modification making the total cost of the around $50000 just a little over a new S4. I have looked at the PES Supercharger and saw that 280hp is the max but with a Twin Turbo it could probably put close to 400hp! If you guys have any ideas on doing an engine swap please tell.<p>2000 V6 Passat 4motion Tip

As you can see, I'm not a big fan of messing around with good basic design. A passat with the 2.7T with ordinary grille, exhaust and wheels would be interesting, but for that kind of money, you want to flaunt some of it, and a flashy passat just won't do. But hey, that's just my opinion, and yours is worth just as much as mine, + , it's your car and money, and it would be a fun car. But still, so much cash, why not get the real, factory spec thing?

yeah you're tinkering with the basic desing...but you also need to understand a lot of compromises are made in the process of producing a car for the masses...even a sports sedan like the S4. So a properly tuned Passat with 2.7T could probably give an S4 a run for its money. Besides you'd get aftermarket stuff on the cheap as most people would be more than happy to sponsor a frankenpassat which would garner tons of attention at the shows...assuming that you showed it.
