some people like Chuckanut drive, but that's pretty far north.
there's a nice drive out near fall city, but it's hardly twisty. Mostly nice scenery.
My favorite drive is the Sea to Sky up in Vancouver, but that can be a little scary when the conditions are crappy or when you don't know the road well.

Sedro Wooley to Rainy and Washington passes. Another great road is the Mt Baker Hgwy from hgwy 9 up to the summit.
Both are best early in the am before traffic and traffic 'management' show up![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Any of the roads up into Rainier Park are pretty good as well . . again early in the am is best.

depends how 'near' you need..
In City: Island Crest Way on Mercer Island; goes around the island, but is all residential so be careful!
In Vicinity:
-Hwy. 9 from Arlington to Sedro Woolley
-Whidbey Island from Clinton dock to Anacortes;
and, as previously posted, North Cascades (US 20) and Mt. Rainier are awesome, but questionable in winter. Also: Mt. St. Helens loop (don't miss the East side), Olympic Nat'l Park area (Hurricane Ridge)
