I didn't get before and after logs as De(ez-nutz) vag-com was loaned out. I don't think logs would have been very useful anyway, considering that the ambient temp was about 8 degrees. Not exactly the best weather for measuring the efficiency of an intercooler. I did a few fourth gear pulls before and after to get a feel for the pressure loss and response. The supplied install instructions are pretty clear so we didn't bother taking too many pictures. A shot of the stock intercooler and shroud with the bumper removed:

The inside of the shroud was fairly dirty making me think that it works well. A shot of the backside of the stock intercooler with the wheel well liner removed:

The instructions don't remove the liner, but I was replacing it with an S4 liner to get a little better airflow. A couple comparison shots of the stock and Tyrolsport intercoolers:

The Tyrolsport IC is larger in every dimension and has 13 charge rows vs. the 11 rows of the stock IC. I measured the UG SMIC at 10" tall by 7.25" wide by 4.5" thick, I haven't measured the stock IC. The larger size, particularly the thickness means that the stock shroud cannot be used without modification. I am a bit disappointed that there is no shroud, but I might remove my fog lights and get the older style grills for a little more flow. I may try to modify the shroud at some point, but not until it gets warmer. Which brings up the savior, the garage heater:

An "action" shot of the required trimming of the radiator support:

A few shots of the area after trimming:

You need to trim from above and below, we had to test fit and trim a little extra in places. We used a dremel with the drum sander for this, it eats away at the support pretty good. Also plug the hoses with some rags as the shavings get everywhere, it makes for nice burning smell during the test drive.

After looking for a (long) while, I couldn't find an acceptable place to remount the horn, but I did discover that there is a second horn on the passenger side, so I just left the driver's side horn off. You can see the connector wrapped in electrical tape and tucked under the turn signal in the last picture. I didn't notice much, if any, pressure loss and response was more or less the same. I saw around 15 psi both before and after, not too surprising considering that the core is only slightly longer.

there testing showed that it was as good if not better than a "popular" FMIC. You can go here to read for yourself, I was pretty impressed by there testing.
