Default ugh, be careful bidding on ebay and stuff guys.

I know you hear it all the time... but just be careful. My mother called me the other day, she works for the state police here in CT. She said she was at the post office, some guy was in there arguing with this mail clerk, so she tried to hear what was going on, then mentioned where she worked to this fella.

Apparently he had bid on a Corvette motor on ebay, and decided to pay these people who he won it from by check... 5 payments of $1000 and this thing would be his. Well as you can probably guess, his last payment got returned to him, he tried finding a forwarding address and... got ripped off to the tune of four grand.

Not really A4-related, but I just thought it sucked this guy had to go through that. My mom gave him some fraud info at the barracks, but he still wasn't a happy camper. I can't imagine being scammed out of that much cash. I just couldn't believe it was so local that these people were ripping this guy (and probably others) out of their hard-earned money.

My sad Saturday story. =/

Default Eurasian motors tried that crap with me

It's been a few months and still haven't gotten a refund. The upside (if you can call it that) is that the feds told me they just gave the clowns an ultimatum to have a cashiers cheque in my hands by Wednesday AM or they're going to arrest the owner and charge him with felony fraud. If the money doesn't show, I'm going to send the idiot a certified package with a tube of astroglide for his prison experience.

Eurasian (http://www.eur-asian.com/) is a bunch of criminals. Avoid them like the plague.

Cheers,

Default me too

The funny thing is they sent me a bad cheque as a refund about a month ago so that's yet another charge when the owner gets arrested. I can't imagine that someone would be willing to go to federal lockup for a couple of grand. Strange folks out there. I guess a lot of people just suck it up and don't call the cops.

Cheers,
