Default Uhh... so I get this single metallic 'clunk' sound coming from the rear, but only...

when I take a sharp turn.

And when I take two sharp turns in the same direction (let's say right), then I don't hear the clunk during the second turn. I'll hear it again when I take a sharp left though.

I thought it was something in the trunk, so I took everything out, but the clunk is still there. I checked my wheels - they're not loose or anything. I'm thinking maybe it's the centering rings that gotten loose somehow, but I've had these wheels for a while and never experienced anything like that.

So, any ideas? Suspension? WTF is that clunk?

Thanks for reading.

Check the rear sway bar brackets and end links.

Default Thanks. Does that require getting under the car, or...

can I just see it after I take the wheel off?

Default Check your exhaust hanger. Might be rubbing on subframe.

The exhaust that is.

Default The end link is visible if you take the wheel off...

if you crawl under the car, you'll be able to see the sway bar brackets and end links easily (no need to remove the wheel or jack it up). Just kneel on the ground and stick your head behind the rear wheel.

The hanger might be wearing out.
