Default That would be very much appreciated. I need to do it myself as well

and it would be great to know how your experience went.

Have you completed this yet? I'm anxious to follow your lead.

Default No, not yet. I'm not going to do until a nice warm spring day. Sometime late April or May.

I got myself all distracted with a big turbo kit right now. I HAVE to do that install first! I'll definately post a write up when I do it. I'll keep you posted.

Thx. It should be pretty easy, but I've seen "pros" screw it up.

Stop trying to freak me out about it! I'm already nervous and avoiding the task.

Default Oh, sorry, lol. My reference "pro" who screwed it up was at an Oldsmobile dealer...

Was warranty work on my wife's old minivan several years ago -- it had a couple wrinkles on the side and just wasn't as tight as I would have liked. I think it was just carelessness. I installed new covers in my '70 Cutlass that looked fantastic, you should be okay.

My biggest concern on the Audi leatherette is color/grain texture matching. I know it's an Audi part, but do you think the rest of the interior has worn or faded enough that the new cover will look out of place?

I've been trying to find a passenger seat out of a wreck or something that I could dissect and put the lower cover on my driver's seat -- but haven't found a donor yet. Your solution seems better.

Default The first thing I did was to lay the new piece next to the old stuff in the car. And while it was

cleaner at the time, the new piece matched the color/texture very nicely. The good thing about leatherette is that is wears very well when it's not cracking.

No problem on your comments, I was just kidding. I am a little nervous about installing it as I'm no interior installation expert. I plan on taking my time on some sunny warm afternoon and doing an absolutely perfect job.
