Uneven Headlamp projection?

I have a 99.5 with the one piece projector headlights and my driver's side headlight points lower, much lower than my passenger side headlight. I thought the auto leveler mechanism should make them even? I had the dealer check it out and the alignment of the headlight was out of whack and they "fixed" it but it is still only marginally better. The driver's light points almost straight at the ground. Any help?

First of all, you don't have an auto-leveler. That feature is only available on OEM xenon equipped cars, which wasn't offered till '00. I know, I got shafted too (I have a 99.5 too).
Next, the driver's side lamp is supposed to be aimed a little bit lower than the pass. side, but only slightly. There should be a staircase look to it when you shine them on a wall. The reason for this is so that oncoming traffic isn't blinded.
If it's a huge difference, you can adjust them yourself by pointing the lights at a wall and fiddling with the white plastic screws in there. You can see them when you look, they're in plain sight. Hope this helps.

The lamps *should* be level. What he needs to do is pull up to a garage. If the stair step is what he's seeing and objecting to, pull 10 feet away from a wall or closed garage door, and note the individual projection patterns of the left and right headlights. What he should see is a stairstep pattern from EACH. As he rolls back from the wall, he should notice that the drop off on the left is the stairstep on the left headlamp. You can't see the stair step from the right headlamp at distances, because there is overlap from the left headlamp projection pattern. His left headlamp is probably fine, if he can see what I'm describing.
