Warranty Gold will not cover the squeaking noise caused by the worn bushings on the control arms! According to Warranty Gold the bushings have not reached the point of failure. With this in mind, does anyone want to help my replace the front right control arm on my car that is causing this annoying sound? I'm in the Northern Virginia area . . . dealer wanted $2k to do it? Lemme know. BTW, this really pisses me off about Warranty Gold because this was one of the primary reasons for purchasing an extended warranty. Instead of dishing out money on this warranty, I should've used it for a down payment on a new A4(even though I don't like the B6's) it would've been worth it.

When I had bad wheel bearings, they covered it without issue. I would have thought that this fell into the same category. I guess he would have to lose steering capability to have them changed. *shrug*.

Which plan do you have? here is a qoute from the Diamond plan "Coverage on covered parts worn beyond manufacturer's specifications "
I'm pretty sure that squeaking is not part the manufacturers specs. I just had my control arm replaced on my passat with thier plan. The shop said that the only problem was getting a hold of them but once he did there was no questions.
Go to a different auto shop (non dealership) in a week and tell the repair man to call WG and tell them it's a safety issue.
