Default Yes, I think it's critical to have the tip chip to speed up the tiptronic reaction. That part has

always been good. I had the tip chip installed when I had the ECU installed 7 months ago. The shifts were still slow and weak, that's why I installed the upgraded valve body.

Default i was wondering because I'd read on here somewhere that people didnt like the combination of the two

maybe that was just for the s4 though...

Default I can't see any negatives to the combination. All the tip chip ever did for me was to speed up the

reaction time of the tip lever/buttons. I don't see how the combination wouldn't work perfectly together. I've read many posts about people not liking higher stall torque converters though.

Default Awesome!

I have the same problem with my S4 (notchy upshifting when at full throttle). This also applies to the S4 tip, correct? I've been looking through the level 10 website. What parts#'s are required for this upgrade? Thanks a TON for your article, it is exactly what I have been looking for as a transition to K04's.

Default Yes, this would absolutely apply to the S4 transmission. All you need is the valve body

listed on Level 10's home page. I would call and ask for Sam if you have any questions you would like answered.

Default Hate to necro a thread almost old enough to drive, but..

I'm in a similar situation that you were in OP. Under stage 1 power my tip is not happy. Did you ever do that writeup, or have any advice for me? I don't want to drop 2k on the tranny just to find out it does the same thing. Thanks.
