I am only purchasing the seats. Besides the dash switches, does anyone know what else I will need? Can I assume the car is fully prewired and the airbag equipment simply plugs in? Any information will help, especially from those who have upgraded from the basic cloth seats.

Is there any truth to the rumor that all A4 seats are equipped with heating filament, and only the dash switches are required?

Finally, what year-range dash switches are compatible with the B5-A4? There is an 80/90 on ebay that looks just like the later switch.

On my '98.5, passenger seat is manually operated, but I heard they went to electric seats in '99.

My 99 came with leather seats and only the driver side has power- passenger side is manual adjustment. I think they went to power operated seats for both in 99.5
