We had one of the reps, I forget the guy's name, but he drove a red TDi Jetta with
NC plates. What a tool. He was trying to tell me that I could get 20 hp from just a chip for my 30v 2.8.

True. I have only seen a couple of cars with the chips. The GTIs were fast, and the TDIs were impres
but they had too much fuel with the TDIs. Black somke from one of the NBs that was there. Great power though. But, at what cost?

I agree...
Upsolute is probably one of the worst chips out there, yet their overly-aggressive marketing and cockyness makes the "kids" on the Vortex think they are the best.
Some examples:
They don't use any kind of cocket or encrytion board, they simply reburn the factory EEPROM. Any dealer updating software can burn right over it...
Also, Jim Wilson and Valois claimed that their 0.8 bar chip made almost the same power as APR's 1-bar chip. It was later proven by others and acknowledged by them that the chip was acually a 1.1 bar chip.

Ahahahaha.. I see how they got the extra power now!
They were so aggressive in marketing that 1 bar is unsafe and .8 bar actually makes makes more power and they were actually running 1bar! How ironic after all the commotions they're selling 1bar chips now.
