According to this post a while back, AoA states that 1 qt every 1000 miles is within specs... seems crazy - but that might make you worry less.
I would still get it checked out. If they are unable to diagnose the problem, I would suggest that you send a sample of you used oil to a private lab for analysis. They should be able to tell you why you oil is burning off so quickly.
