Default Urrggh!! Got home tonite and checked and i see my rear CA's a creaking. Maybe due to the neu/bils.

I noticed over the last month that i had started to feel the bumps a bit more on the rear of the car..and the rear self was moving about a bit more..on the ride home tonight...i got out and pushed the rear of the car and loe and behold it's creaking..hey at least there's only 2 on each side! i've already replaced the compleate set at the front! I reckon this must have been accelerated by the neu/bils which i've had in for about 10K miles (i have done 80K miles).

damn..will i have to get an alignment done when get them replaced?

sorry for the rant!!

Default Yes align because the eccentric bolt for the rear hub carrier and upright has to come out

which will trash your rear camber setting.

Disclaimer : Ohhh mighty Ed M. is it ok if I comment on these matters of geometry since I don't Auto-X, Drag Race or Track my car? I'd suggest you not take any of my advice, as I'm not a reliable source of information because the mighty Oz has deemed that he and those of his fray are the only ones qualified to speak on such subjects. Default Why do you have to remove the bolt on the eccentric?

I never touched it.

Default The rears are totally different, you should be able to replace just the bushings...

kind of a PITA, but not like the fronts.

Default Rear lower control arm?

I've never pulled it off myself...but it seems that to replace it with a new one you'd have to remove the eccentric washer bolt combo which holds the rear hub carrier / upright assembly to the rear lower control arm.

Besdies didn't you read my disclaimer Kris? ;-)

Default Oh, yeah.. To replace the bushing, of course you would need an alignment...

I thought you meant to replace the shock and spring.. Sorry. It's past my bed time.. =-)
