Default Using B6 17'' wheels on my B5

I finally got around to picking up new rims for my a4 after being left like this

I found these B6 17's for the right price.

But I am getting conflicting information about the proper size of tire and spacer (if any) needed to use them on my b5. There were a few threads here but none with an authoritative answer.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Tony

That's stock size for a B6

Stock size is 225/45/17 for a B5, although if the tires are still good I would check.

Just my opinion but I really don't think they look good at all on a B5. Do a photoshop and try em on for size though and see what ya think!

Really just want them for fall and winter.. Gonna get put some nice all season tires and roll. Only puttin them on next week to take the Blizzak's off the BBS and paint the spokes and keep the alum lip. My little side project after work.

I couldn't find any pics ahead of time, but the price was right and they are (hopefully) non-bling enough to not get stolen like the last set. This also allows me to keep graspics on my stockers for winter. I'll post pics once I get them mounted up. I couldn't find a deal on 4 tires so I need to order a set and get them mounted. I refuse to use my local TFT because the last set was stolen from my car 10 hours after being installed at TFT. I guess I have trust issues

I went to National Tire and Battery to get my BBS wheels on. Was gettin them mounted and balanced so I headed off to eat dinner. I got a call 20 minutes later asking if there is a special way to turn on my car (standarD). I simply said, push in the clutch and the car wont turn over unless its in the whole way. They finally came out and said "Oh, well the clutch is to the floor" .. *Fast Forward* Slave Cyl got fixed and had tires mounted anyhow. Went back to NT&B bc the balance was off and I got a free mount and balance again. AGAIN I get a call when im acrossed the street pickin up detailing products. "We got your car on the lift but the clutch is to the floor. Fluid is everywhere" - AGAIN, got the slave cyl. fixed and sent corp a email with name, number, and detail description of what occurred and sure enough i got everything for free and my credited for the repairs.

I understand not trustin people.
