Default V&S installed (impressions inside)

Received and installed my V&S shifter today. First impressions are that this thing rocks!
Build quality is impressive. Everything fit together perfectly and the install was simple.

Shifts are very precise but I feel that the throw is slightly too short, it reminds me of my buddy's old cut down b&m in his C5 vette. 35% would have been a better compromise between comfort and performance.
However, this feeling may just be because I had finally gotten used to driving around with my stock shifter again after taking out my old B&M. I'm sure once I get used to it, I'll hardly notice it.

The intergrated ball design is by far where this shifter shines. Slop is almost non-existent. It is a whole different experience driving the car now... even compared to my old B&M. The rubbery feeling is now gone.

While I only have experience driving A4's equipped with a B&M shifter and a strat shifter, I can honestly say that I like the V&S the best. And considering the price, you can't go wrong. Thanks Sergio for a great product!!!

Default so you think the v&s is better than the strat?

I haven't tried either, but can you elaborate a bit?

I've been toying with the idea of a short shifter (esp after driving my dad's TT for almost 3 months) and was seriously considering the strat...

Thanks!

Default I drove a 98 w/ a strat shifter

It was a while ago and I only drove it for about 20 min, but from what I remember it seemed a bit sloppier but the throw was nicer (like I said, I'm not sure I like the 42% reduction). The strat had a great feel (much better than my B&M) but there was more side to side play. Sorry I can't give you a more detailed comparison but this is all from memory.
