Since my cruise control hasn't worked since I bought the car, I figured I'd use the switch at the end of the stalk to mute my V1. So I pulled the steering wheel off and the column apart and removed the cruise control switch. Then I tested the cruise leads to find which ones complete a momentary circuit when the button is pushed. I wired the V1 mute leads to them and buttoned everything back up and now the SET switch on the end of my turn signal / cruise stalk controls the MUTE function of my V1.
