Default v6 AFC oil cooler leak

I've suspected my oil cooler seal / oil pressure switch of leaking so I went ahaead and changed the oil switch... I also put a new oil cooler o-ring seal on...and the leak is still there...at first it was gushing oil then i thightened the **** out of the oil cooler nut..bout 60 ft-lbs so far and it goes away little by liyyle as i tigghten more and more... not sure if this is wise... has anyone else had this problem in changing an oil cooler seal.

I did this last weekend. The old seal was very hard. Did you get the one with the two tabs to hold it in position when installing? Sounds to me like it's not in the correct position, or there is some crud buildup preventing a good seal. I didn't tighten the bolt too tight; it's putting pressure on a rubber seal.

Strangely enough I just rotated the seal one notch over on the holding clips on the oil cooler and now its fine.
