Just got my VAG tool in and when I try to scan it gives me an error saying "Cant synch baud" Anyone know what causes this or know how to fix it? Thanks

are you using a serial or USB port on the computer? And are there any adaptors between the cable and the computer?

but I got the one that is supposed to be "compatible" with VAG-COM. Are there any settings I should change. I am able to change bits per second, data bits, parity, stop bits, flow control, FIFO buffers, etc. I can pull my general fault codes and a couple modules, but everything else (ABS, EngineI, Engine II, etc.) either says cant access or says synch baud error $5B.

I'm using the Keyspan USA-19HS and it works for me as a USB-serial adapter for VAG-COM
