Default VAG my car and got 3 codes. Lean code, Something about the MAF sensor, and knock in cy.4 Car was in

limp mode. I had suspected MAF problems before. I cleared the codes and I disconnected the MAF to see if i would get a check engine light again.
So after driving a bit its come back again, although i havnt pulled the code up yet. But boost is back at least.

So is driving around w/ the MAF sensor disconnected bad?

Default what year is your car?

no, driving around with an unplugged MAF will force the car to use base values for air/fuel. So consider it a fail-safe. It should be fine.

Default keep it in stock

it won't hurt it. Keeping it in chipped mode will force the engine to try and meet conditions it's not suited to with a malfunctioning MAF.

Replace the MAF and at the same time put in new plugs
