Default vag'd my car and after some searching i think i have to replace my MAF..

I had one fault found and it was:
17536 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean
P1128 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

After searching, it seems its safe to say I need a new MAF. But before I do go and replace it is there a chance it could be something else?

Default Check MAF function first

block 003 in the engine module
a properly working maf should read 2-4 g/s

Default Is that number only during idle?

for me during idle is stays around the 2's...but if i blip the throttle it goes as high as 6 at 960RPM and then go to 4's at 1400 rpm and then it goes back down.

is the 6 too high of a number?

Default at idle...

I am sure that you are pulling a lot more than 6 at wot.
