Default Re: Any recent changes to your wheels or susp. Check there first. Poss. wheel bal. prob?

No changes at all -- I had a flat a month ago. Pancake flat... it was broken glass, i think. SInce it didn't need a plug. I used that fix-aflat crap... I've used it before with out problems.

Ive driven at least 1000 miles since then with out hitch...

Default I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff, though I've heard baaaad things about Les Schwab.

I've had fairly good service at University Audi, though since you're past warranty (aren't you?), they might be way too pricey.

Default It may sound stupid, but...

Check to make sure your lug nuts are on tight. If that's not it I'd bet on an out of balance tire.

Default re: Les Schwab

I've never gone to les schwab... I used that name to go state "any tire store".

Your right, i've called UVAS before and they are expensive. i was having problems 6 months ago, they quoted me $1600 for 60k service.

No thanks...

I am just worried about a possible problem with the driveline.

Default Try Speedware Motorsports in Redmond. They did an excellent...

...tire repair and balance for me and didn't damage my rims. Les Shwab would be less money, but Speedware will be more careful with your wheels. As far as ordinary tires stores go, Les Shwab is probably one of the better ones IMO, but of course that can depend on which location. Also, I notice that I sometimes have some vibration when my tires are very, very cold, but then they're fine after driving a few minutes. Good luck!
