Very strange repeating tone
I'm about to sell my 97 A4. I took it in to have it detailed.
Ever since the detail, the tone that I normally only hear when I start the car sounds every five seconds when the car is not on.
Anyone know what's wrong? I obviously can't sell the car like this.

with key in or out of ignition? How slimey did they get everything. Maybe they sprayed
some of that shine-**** inside the key hole and its making some kind of electrical contact.

service notice? for that old recall that they had? Yeah, take care of that and don't
mention anything about that sound. If it still gives you a problem after they replace your ignition, blame it on them : )
