when i make a sharp left or right turn slow or fast, i can hear and feel the car vibrating a little. its a 96 2.8QAT. is this normal?
also when at idle, the idle cycles up and down about 100rpm. how can i fix this? thanks.

My A4 makes a bit of vibrating when turing the steering wheel all the way left/right and move slowly.
i avoid it by never rotating the steering wheel all the way left/right

check all front end components[control arms, tierods, guide links, etc.]do you hear any clacking[like marbles]when turning?if so,look for bad outter cv joint on side that makes noise on turn.for idle, check for small air leaks, but most likely carbon on valves if car has a lot of miles and has never been apart.
