I have just recieved my VIN # a week ago! I have a few questions about the delivery.
How long does it take to allow the car to get to port for USA destined boats?
How long does it stay at the USA port?
I see that on the www.teamhouston.com site that they just had a boat "come in" from Germany......
It made it here on Dec. 7th--I believe............next boat is scheduled for the 23rd.............I guess I'm just excited to get the A4 that I have ordered. Can someone tell me where I stand in the delivery "pipeline"?

My experience:
Car was produced week 44 (end of Oct.) ; VIN was given to me in mid. Nov. , and today I see my VIN on the teamhouston listing, which means it came in on the Dec. 7 boat (woohoo!!!!)
I called my dealer about once every 2 weeks (just infrequently enough to avoid being a nag) and my saleslady told me each time whether the car was waiting to get on the ship, on the ship, about to reach port, et cetera. It's been 3 weeks since she told me the car was on the water, so maybe that's about how it'll be for your car too.
-K.
'99 1.8tqMS,roof,trip.
