Default sometimes

if you pull them and one is blackened and the others are shiney then that could be the bad one.

but then you should be looking into your valve cover gasket as well.

I'm lucky, I have a friend with a box (think 23' tube TV) of good coilpacks that doesnt own a 1.8T

If I am in ohio I just roll up to his house and ask for one.

he usually gives me 4

AWE is in Willow Grove... perhaps they could scan the codes for you.
