Volcano Black People...
For those who've owned a black vehicle or tried to keep one clean- how would you compare the two colors. Also, I'd be grateful to hear any general comments you have about this color.
Thanks

I love my V.Black car. (m)
No other color that I've ever owned has gotten sooo many remarks. ("What color is that? Green? Red?") It really looks nice when it's clean, and seems to take on just a hint of the colors around it sometimes. I attribute that to the metallic paint. As far as keeping it clean, I'd say it shows dirt just a hair less than brilliant black. Not much real difference in that department, IMHO. My roomates A4 is B.Black, and our cars are usually dirty at about the same time. If I had to guess, I'd say the V.Black shows dirt a little less than B.Black. A little. Another bonus is that it's fairly unique looking...

I've had both and Volcano is WAY easier to keep looking clean.

I absolutely LOVE the colour. It's rare, having been around for only 1.5 years (98-99.5), and it has a very nice metallic aspect to it that really looks insane in sunlight, a pearlescent effect really. Also, it looks black at night. Lastly, it looks incredible with metal impregnated tint, becuase the reflective qualities of the tint match the paint very nicely.
Here's a pic of my car dirty.........there's another one down below inthe wheel post.

heres mine, and my comments...

i tend to agree with my fellow volcano black brethren when they say most dark cars are hard to keep clean, but volcano is slightly easier than brilliant. i LOOOOOOOOOOVE this color. it is BY FAR the nicest color on the a4, imho, eclipsing even santorin blue. it is a charcoal-y color that tends to look black sometimes, very grey other times, and has hints of the entire spectrum sometimes. its really beautiful.

I love volcano black. Awesome color...
and I can tell it is quite a bit easier to clean than my previous red car. I just love how the car seems to change color in different degrees of sunlight. Nothing like it. Here is a quick pic...
