Wah, Wah sound from front wheel. Not guitar :)
I was recently forced to hit the curb in my A$ by an unmerging driver. The Celebration rims are pretty scraped up. I now think I here a whirring or Wah sound that changes pitch with speed. The car still drives straight at low and high speed.
What might this be? The wheel has no play when I jacked up the car and tried to shake it. The rocker arms seem fine.
Thanks, Bruce
Hopefully the insurance companies find in my favor.

either the rim is bent or some of the steel belts in the tire have snapped...
when you hit the curb and the tire is no longer perfectly round. But I would think that you'd feel vibration on the steering wheel in that case.
One other possibility (if it's just the sound that intensifies the faster you drive) could be a damaged wheel bearing.
