warning about keyless remotes for 96 models...

warning about keyless remotes for 96 models...
for all of you who are thinking about buying a remote, don't be bamboozled by some of the eGhay sellers who claim their remotes work with 96s, but they really don't.
The WRONG remote: FCCiD - MZ2 410 819 4
Teh RIGHT one: FCCiD - HC3B70000102
The right one looks ugly, like a $5 piece of plastic with two buttons rammed into it
. The nicer ones with the Audi logo (3 button) that I've noticed on eGhay will not work. Yeah... I would know. I was dumb enough to buy one and, well, found out the hard way.
Anyway... /end venting
hopefully this will help anyone still in the dark about this. AND... if I'm wrong one this, someone beat me with an ETKA. meow.
