F---ing Audi!! A few weeks ago, CBS has a story about a VW's Jettas
having their seat/side curtains air bags go off.
After CBS contacted VW. VW's answer was, only a few reports out of millions of cars. "No big deal" and they did blame it on hitting a pothole.....blah blah blah..
Report it to NHTSA and Send a few E-mail to CBS.

Thank you RKA, I always value your posts
I understand Audi's reluctance to admit fault. They claim a representative already looked at the car. I have not authorized them to clear any codes.
As for personal transportation, well I still have the 1978 Cadillac I drove in college. It sucks gas, but I'm willing to wait this one out for now.
I have filed a complaint with AoA customer service and they promised to call me back within 24 hours. I will wait to see what they say, then I will decide whether to pursue this with the NHTSA. Right now the car cannot be driven since both the airbag, and the passenger's side seat belt need to be repaired.
Thanks,
Antoni

I will photographs the bruises on my friends arm and torso.
Both of us were pretty shaken. The sound of the airbag deploying is like a gunshot inside the car. I've never been in an accident, but having an airbag deploy suddenly and without warning left me quite shaken. I refused to drive the car to the dealership the following day after it happened.

You do need to go file the report with the NHTSA...
one complaint is not going to get them to do anything, but if they start to see a systematic problem they will follow it up. Who knows, maybe your report will be the trigger. Which is to say it may not help you directly, but it might just help someone down the line.
