Default Warranty almost gone, what will Audi offer as an extention

My 99.5 TQ will be 3 years old in June and my warranty will expire. Will Audi be contacting me with an extended warranty offering? How much? What will it cover and is it worth it? Frankly, I'll be glad to not have to take the car down to the dealership for oil changes and do it myself but it might be nice to have coverage for the car's many components. Thanks.

Default I'm in the same boat as you...

Audi hasn't contacted me about an extended warranty. My warranty as well ends in June. I'll probably buy an extended warranty for peace of mind and since I want to keep the car for a few more years.

Default

If you're planning to keep the car AND the warranty costs less than a T-Belt Replacement I'd buy one

Default $1500 for 100k/2y(?) extended from audi ..

it DOES NOT cover the timing belt change and i dont think it covers scheduled oil changes either. but basically everything else like the normal audi warranty.

i'm up in june too .. so i'm starting to look around.

Default You don't have to get the warranty through Audi.. there are other companies that will warranty

your car. Most are probably on the internet, just do an internet search for 'car warranty'. One that comes to mind is warrantybynet.com. I think it's much cheaper, but I can't say if the quality is good, but then, judging from what I've heard on this forum, Audi's warranty coverage isn't much to write home about either.

I think the one catch is that you must sign up for coverage before your manufacturer's warranty runs out. So don't wait too long.

Warrantybynet
