Unless the price on www.xcarorder.com changed in last 8 hours, A4 1.8T and 2.8 are both $700 above invoice. A6 4.2 is $500 above invoice. A6 2.8 and 2.7T crashes the Java code so I couldn't figure out.
Of course, my A4 is already in their virtual garage.

Initially, CarOrder.com talked to Robert Larson and found a similar car there (in terms of the color). By this time, I've been to Barrier and saw the exact color I wanted. I talked my CarOrder.com rep that I want to get the one I saw at Barrier. Their dealer team initially insisted that they've called Barrier but couldn't find one, but when I pushed and gave them Barrier salesperson's name and number, they had no problem talking to Barrier.
The reason I killed the deal with Barrier is a long story (has to do with lease incentive on '99 closeouts), so I asked CarOrder that I now want one of the cars they found at Robert Larson, which happens to be a '00 model.
A couple of Portland folks in this forum said their A4's are ordered from University Audi, so at least until now, CarOrder has dealt with all three Audi dealers, except for the one in Bellingham.

Why would I be waiting for '00 A4 pricing on CarOrder.com, after buying '00 A6 2 weeks ago? I wouldn't buy any other way. There is no other way you can get A4 for $700 over invoice.
I think I was lucky on '00 A6, because I spotted the car on the dealer's lot, and demanded CarOrder that they should get me that very car. It worked. Of course, you have to spec the order exactly as the one in the dealer's lot.
I told the salesman (Keith @ Robert Larson) that he'll be hearing from CarOrder, he understood the whole process (unlike the Barrier salesman had no clue), so he held the car for me.
Of course, my purchase will be after 1/1/2000, since Initiative 695 passed last night...

invoice through University Audi in Seattle. I liked how I was delt with in Yakima though. It may be well worth a try. They seem to be very upfront. In my opinion it would be a lot simpler to go directly throught the dealer for 1000 over rather than carorder.com because of the three way communication game etc. But I had such a good deal going that I gladly bared with it.
