Default Weight reduction on my car

With a 199.5 quattro 5 speeed...whats the first thing I should do for a weight reduction in the car other then my fat *ss? I dont want to spend anyhting on carbon fiber hood....trunk..blah blah blah. Anything that can be taken out while still keeping it functional? What are my options?

Default Weight reduction on our cars for everyday use is pretty pointless. Run less gas and no spare. ;)

You could knock off an easy 100 lbs just doing that - call the full size spare 30lbs and running 10 less gallons of gas will save you 70lbs.

Default remove all the seats except yours... or install a Sparco or similar seat.

remove all the sound deadening and carpeting... you dont need climate controls take that out.. you dont need a radio.. remove it... get a light weight battery AC condensor.. just more weight.. fans.. etc weight.. there are a lot of things you can remove.. spare tire.. get lighter wheels.
you dont need a hood... if you are racing just take the hood off... remove the glass... put lexan windows instead... got a sunroof? remove that and have them weld a solid piece of metal.. gut out the rear doors.. and just have them weld it shut.

So how serious are you?

Default something like this...!

about 50 lbs for each of the front seats, 45 lbs for rear seat, 45 lbs for the battery, almost 7L windshield wiper fluid in the front. Spare tires, exhaust... I've done all of them, saved over 200 lbs for free.

Default Strong light weight wheels. Takes less power to accelerate them so your car will accelerate quicker.

With 18" wheels ,every pound on the wheel is like 6lbs being added to the car.Every pound of tire is like 8lbs added to the car.
