Default Weight weight weight

What is the weight advantage (if any) to going to larger rims. What do the stock rims weigh (15")?

Also, anyone see the TNN tuner show? Do they make those valves and pistons for the A4?

normally, there isn't any weight advantage, unless you pay really big bucks for ultra light alloys.

it's quite the opposite......15" wheels will usually weigh less

bigger wheel = more metal = more weight

Although I dislike the stocks, it would be lighter to go with 245 50 15's on the stock then.

bigger wheel = more weight AWAY from center, ex. 30lb* 15" = 20lb* 17" (*not actual numbers)

I don't think the stock rims are wide enough to support 245-wide tires.
