Default If you get all that stuff new you won't need to worry about it again for a while that's for sure!

Good luck Sounds like a good plan

I left my car there all day yesterday with a description of the problem, they called me and said they could not reproduce the problem, so i arrived there after work, reproduced the problem within 10 minutes, and then they put my car up on the lift, and they looked at all the wheels, etc. and said they could not find the problem, so hopefully it is the wheel bearing thing....

Default Well, depending on which wheel the bad bearing was on, you should have.

I had a rear go bad, and the repair called for an allignment. Not sure about the fronts.

Default Wheel bearing replacement alone wouldn't warrant an alignment...

However, sliding into a curb sideways (what I did) required an alignment, as well as a bearing replacement.

Default Well, they have to seperate the suspension components to get the axle out of the hub/bearing..

thus the allignment. That is the way my dealer did it, under warrantee, so I did not question it.

Default Good point. My align was done before the bearing was replaced...

...since the dealer couldn't figure out that the noise was a bad bearing (d'oh!). I had an independent shop replace the bearing. Guess I'm glad I traded the car in shortly thereafter. 8^)
